First, make sure you read Rob's Blog, at right, click Mollkey.
I have so many inflammatory statements to make about the Bridge Run, that I begin stuttering and well, Rob's done such a fantastic job highlighting the wet events of Saturday morning, that I won't even bother. But I will say 2 minor things,
1. Always carry a poncho with you, even if you're just going to Bi-Lo. You never know when it might start to rain heavily.
2. The bridge run has become a tourist trap with people from other countries posing at the highest peak of the bridge to snap photos of one another against the backdrop of the sky. You're so high up, it's not like the water would actually show anyway.
I was the rudest runner I've ever been in my life. It makes cross country meets with the elbowing and kicking look like a cake walk. Rob pushed a large man in the stomach, I yelled about cute little kids being in the way. I knocked into probably 200 people weaving through the walker's monstrosity. DON'T GET ME WRONG! Walkers are lovely people, when they're moving. However, so many just strolled with STROLLERS and very pointy umbrellas just waiting for me to approach so they could make a quick jab into my thigh or head depending.
Oh but it was a lovely time. I'm glad we made it across even if there was high emotion in the mix.
