We sat on the back porch with a beer for a couple hours tonight, and really it was pretty awesome out, especially after he fogged the whole area with Black Flag which is the most terrible non-green thing we do but kills some mosquitoes instantly, saving me from getting West Nile. Whilst drinking my corona light, I did seriously down a plate of nachos with homemade salsa, followed by a chocolate cupcake. This has been the weekend of no vegetables which pretty much means my mission for antioxidants from colorful vegetables was a bust for the last two days. My house was an antioxidant-free zone unless you count my face moisturizer and coffee. Well actually, if you count Friday night I guess I ate some veggies, but not since then other than salsa. Does that count? Surely it does because it's packed with tomatoes, jalapeƱos, cilantro, whatever is in a can of Rotele, and lime juice. Ugh, I know...it's a stretch. Seriously though, the weekend consisted of yummy quiche and potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, french toast from Motor Supply, and yea a plate of nachos. This is like a confession. Oh well...sorry I'm not sorry. I have a nice healthy sandwich ready for tomorrow, with a plum, and a dill pickle. I'm also supposed to get up at 5 AM to hit the gym. That will surely make up for the weekend of eating like a southerner. Yum! It was worth it though kind of! I mean really, could you resist this?
I seriously doubt it. I made these for my sister's birthday at her request--chocolate with chocolate icing and sprinkles!
