So, these have been around forever, but I've only recently tried them. Larabar. They are not new at all. Here's my fave: Coconut Cream Pie!
They have like 10 grams of fat which is a lot for a snack. It's because they have almonds. So, I eat half and save half. Smart, huh? Rocket science. They also only have like 5 ingredients, ALL of which I can pronounce. Yet another reason to add them to your grocery list.
In other news, SC is actually getting a Trader Joe's in Greenville.
I stopped by last weekend to marvel at the building. It's a similar feeling I had when Columbia actually got a Starbucks. I have no idea why we are the last to get everything. We are full of college kids who love all of this stuff. And then there's me. I love all this stuff too! Even though I couldn't go in to Trader Joe's because it wasn't open yet, I did chat with a guy who works there. I asked him when we would get one in Columbia. He said that both Columbia and Charleston are on a list. Then he told me he'd said too much and hurried away. Such secrets in the special-grocery-store world. I know TJ's isn't special either. Kinda like the Larabar. Trader Joe's has really great snacks though if you are lucky enough to live in a city that has one.
