Sensor

I learned something new tonight:

If you tell people you have a sensor in your pants, they'll leave you alone.

We had to run a couple of errands tonight and as we walked in and out of every store, the alarms at the door went off. Target, Buy Buy Baby, Lowes. At our second stop and with the third alarm, I realized it was me. Well, it was my pants. I was wearing some jeans that are relatively new. They have the sensor thingy sewn in which I'm supposed to cut out. I don't pay attention to such details though, explaining the alarms.

At Lowes, we walked in and set off the alarms. When we were checking out, I explained to the checkout girl that there was a sensor in my pants. She said, "Why didn't they take it off when you bought them?" Then, I had to explain it's the sewn in kind. It was awkward...all of this talk about my pants and me pointing at my hip to show where it was. So, she eventually understood and agreed to not chase us down when we walked out and set off the alarms.

As we left, the alarms sounded and this other lady followed us out. Will turned around and said, "It's her pants." She ignored him and was coming for our cart, which made me nervous so I kind of shouted, "It's my pants! There's a sensor in my pants! They're new!" The look on her face was priceless. She sort of threw her hands up and started backing away. It was awesome.
